The seven points the author of this article is trying to make are:
- Remember that Jesus rewards risk: There's always risks everywhere, but if we take risks for God he will reward us... But I think people shouldn't do it just because God will reward you.
- Remember that there are no guarantees: There is no guarantee that everything's going to be ok, so, simple things like traveling in safe airlines and making sure everybody have good insurance can give us a lot of hope that we will come back home safely.
- All of life involves risk, but we don't look for risk either: This is so true, I think going out from your country/ house is a risk but nobody goes walking on the streets saying I AM LOOKING FOR RISKS TODAY!!
- When you need to risk, risk on things that are worth it: Going to Peru, specially where we are going, is a risk... but we're spreading God's word and that's worth it.
- Manage risk by trainig yourself to do three things: be alert, be knowledgeable and be wise: This is self-explanatory, we need to be aware of everything that is going on, be nice to people that can guide us and make wise decisions and think wisely.
- When something bad happens or something bad will happen be calm and compliant: if something bad is happening, take a break, breathe, pray, think and then act.
- Don't make the focus of your trip eliminating or managing risk: I you do it, it will totally change how fun it can be.
